Hello everybody! Im gonna be buying some Fox R5 17s within a month :D , now im after really low profile, they are second hand but in perfect condition (like new) this is their messurment - 225-45-17 the "45" is the profile yes? is it possible to get a lower profile on these alloys?? Also, im gonna lower it on Kona springs to 40mm i hope, so the question is - will it look good on 17s, lowered 40 and low profiles?? Professional answers please thanks.
Heres a pic -

iv tries that but there so expensive! and i wanted fox, i dont want everything off the cupra, i realise people like making their cars replicas but there is no point if the engine isnt the Cupra R. So im goin different with my car. thanks tho. Graham

i meant the standard 17" cupra alloys not the R ones, very similiar to the fox ones but much better quality

they'll look fine mate an yes u can go for 40 profile but i tbh wouldnt get fox as said there very soft due to the cheapness of them they tend to not be made greatly hence why there cheap but u get wat u pay for

but these alloys im getting are £750 new, im paying £500, thats still alot! Iv seen 17s for £999, should i buy them instead? perhaps i wont bother at all, every type ov alloy i chose, there seems so be summit wrong! Paul, you say get the 17" standard cupra 1s, how much are these (r they with tyres) and where would i buy them too?

You could go for lower profile tyres.......can put what you want on there....its just that 45/17" keeps the overall diameter the same as the standard setup of the car....therefore making the diameter smaller (which you would be by putting lower profile tyres, your speedo will be over reading......eg (this is a big exageration but) you could be doing 70 but the speedo reads 100.....
