Can you fit an 18inch cupra r alloy with 225/40/18 in the spare wheel well? Forgot I bought a set of 5 and had a spare. There is no tyre on it at the moment so before I go get one fitted just wanted to know if it fits in there tidy and without raising the carpet or anything as I have a rubber boot mat. Thanks

Yes they do fit albeit quite tight, you'll also need the correct tool kit holder as well and even with that the carpet dips slightly.
I made a plywood spacer for mine so it all sits nice and level.

Will my standard fr+ toolkit not fit? Would I have to get one out of a cupra r or something?

The foam one in the FR & Cupra is totally different to the one used in the LCR.
They came with a larger solid plastic case with lid.
Also the large hold down bolt differs in length.

I should have a spare at my workshop, I'll dig it out at lunch time and show you if you want?

Should be ok as said as I have a 17” FR alloy in mine, albeit it sits a wee bit proud but not too noticeable

Mine didn't sit right on my old FR TDI when I switched to LCR wheels so ending up sourcing the correct bits.
I kept my diy spacer though and put it into my R as even as standard the levels are all over the place.
