Sweet thanks for the heads up on that Craig, was going to be asking that question once I had bought wheels and tyres as some places are really funny about fitting stuff you haven't bought from them. Plus I don't want brand new wheels scratched by a bad tyre fitter.

Ill be needing the two toyo proxies t1r's taken off the rear of my car and fitted to the front on the new wheels and two new tyres fitted to the rear wheels. Also the worn fronts taken off the old wheels lol.

Yeah exactly Brian, Kwik Fit and the likes tend not to want to touch tyres they haven't supplied, or if they do they'll charge you £50 for the privilege....

Used CLCM the last two times I've needed new tyres on the Volvo, ordered the tyres from Camskill then got it booked in, no problem!Willie hasn't damaged any wheels he's been working on (also 17s, 225/45 R17)

Great thanks again for the recommendation, I have used Thistle Autos on Easter Rd before as they are just along the rd from me. Only used them for tyres I bought from them though, MOT and had wheels balanced by them also.

Last time I bought some wheels from mytyres, they garage that fitted the tyres totally scratched my wheels. Can't remember the name of the place now, but deffo wouldn't be using them again.

You reckon the 17" x 7.5" with an ET of 37 would be a decent fitment for the pro races?

hope this helps

Thanks Minty, those pics really help. Looks loads better once lowered, although it didn't look to bad on the standard shocks.

I think I am going to get the Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2 in a 17" and matt black (can't afford 18s in this wheel along with tyres)

The black 17's should look ok and will still look good if lowered at a later date.

yeah 17s will still look good just aslong as they have a wall profile of 40 or 35. if you do ever go for a drop get ap collies the sweet and the ride is so comfortable

i dont know i forgot to measure before i fitted them but im pretty sure its bout 50mm alround gona take the helper springs of soon so i can drop the front more. they have been in for 2 weeks now and am just letting the settle as they keep dropping on their own. they are actually lower on the front now that in the pic, there 12mm from arch to tyre

some, if i go any lower i will have a problem with all speedbumps, atm its fine just cant do multistories. the speedbumps which most people put a wheel either side and hardly slow down for i have to slow right down and get one side up on it so i dont scrape but it makes me feel special and low, btw mine isnt a cupra so mine will sit higher from stock so 18s on a cupra would definatly look fine
