Dont know but I drove back from London and didn't mind at all. The sides are still solid and comfy...i'm only going 8 miles to and from work so...dont think it wil be causing that much of an issue. I've always got the midget to use and that is rough if I wanted a battering

I had those Recaros in my old Mk2 GTi, found them a damn sight nicer than the Mk3 cupra ones I've got now - i slide all over the place, i need to get fatter I think.

Nice choice of car mate, a friend of mine picked up a P reg with 78k on for ~£1300 the other week so I think you're fine on the price.

I did Le Mans and back in the recaros... I must admit it did get unomfortable after a few hours but I don't do that sort of distance that often.

i own a 2.0 16v gti in black magic mattalic 97 r done 11500miles full recaro interior (not meany people have its £500 extra on the price ) air con power stering full stainless powerflow system jr induction kit pi lowering springs and 17 inch oz supert gts wrp in toyo proxes i payed £1500 for it a year ago of a pal sum service history al by seat like but he didnt in the 6 month he has had it all together the car now stnds me at about £4000 and as gona keep on going noticed tat there is a guy gona supercharge his 18 16v as gona do this to mine and a cooper super charger my pal has a corrado with one it was at vw festival last year it has a mk4 golf front end bhp 310.dubsy

i wouldnt pay 4k for a mk2 beeza because it had aircon recaros and some wheels lol.. a guy i knew paid 4.5k for a mk2 Golf ( previously on a cover of performance VW) porsche steering wheel, merc alloys amongst other stuff... but its still an old mk2 ok it looked nice but one night after work it managed to select 1st and reverse last time i saw it, was being towed
