2.0tsfi hunting on idle????

as title says really, im thinking along the lines of intake leak, but i think its more than that and wondered if theres a common problem?

sometimes it will rev by itself when driving along aswell?

check the breather valve on front of engine/camcover
these cause no end of running issues
you can check this with the oil filler cap when you remove it it sucks down again and can run even worse

ok thanks il give it a go, we plugged diagnostics machine in and there were 17 fault codes! none of these fault codes were recognised by autodata so im going to take my laptop into work and use vcds...

if this valve has gone it will throw up loads of codes
throttle valve pressure drop
lambda values
missfire recognition

Hi guys.. just had the same hunting on idle prob, it turned out to be my pcv valve and a coil pack.. changed pcv put in a new set of coil packs and plugs n she's bn fine since! Touch wood lol

Had this issue a while back and turned out to be the PCV Valve too.

Hey. I know this is an old thread. But I have had a problem with my LeonFR. I was driving along the road this morning and it cut out. It doesn't want to rev or accelerate. Is this a system you guys had before changing coil pack and PCV valve (what's that btw? ). I had it in the garage for some wiring done as it threw up Fault codes of Throttle Position Sensors being High and Low. Did you have this?
