2 - 3000rpm is sooo flat

Between 2000 and 3000rpm my 8v has a flat spot, anyone else think the same about theres?

tbh i always found it abit quiet at the bottom of the range (could be just used to turbo though) but i wouldnt call it a flat spot such as a fueling issue or alike, just abit lifeless till 4000rpm

Lifeless is a much better word. The first 1000 and after 3000rpm are fine, nice and responsive.

thats what ppl have been telling me but its always been like it (before the cam, which is only a mild one anyway) i was told that they run lean up untill3-4k but that was of a pikey so dont know if it was true

nah the engine seems like the type that needs to be revved abit, peak power must be about 4500-5000rpm

mine shoots after about 4k revs, and is happy till the end but it doesnt have any pull before then...

OH and i just got a BMC CDA its awesome, gives it a little extra something and sounds the balls

Thought yours was a valver mate?

I had a blitz cone filter on mine, did sound awesome but since taking it off the car starts better......... so its staying off.

if i plant my foot around 1500rpm theres a little lag, almost as if its winding up, by the time its at 2500 ish my zorst makes a rite noise and it starts moving , wether its an ignition or a fueling issue i dont know?
