Put the Atmospheric valve on ebay and connect your bosch dv back up so it looks like this:

(Except mines not a bosch and ignore the T piece off the top of my dv)

went out there and removed the after market valve, reconnected it the way you described, its ran **** before, now it runs even worse..
chances are that the standard dv is whats muckin the boost up?? will try replacing the standard with the aftermarket tomorrow and see if there is any difference.

Is the standard one ment to make fluttery sounds?

Chances are that the diaphragm has split on the original dv, take the bosch dv off and do a leak back test.

A good replacement is a Forge 007 and there are quite a few getting sold now as people fit the new Forge Split R valve. If noise is what you want though fit the Forge Split R, there are a few posts on here about it.

Shouldnt make any flutter at all.

Your DV is toast i reckon.

Just a thought, you seem to have 2 vac pipes for the 2 dump vlaves. One to the bosch standard one and one to the BOV.

What have you done with the vac pipe that runs to where the BOV used to be?

You mean the vac pipe that was going to the afetr market DV? I have it took back too the t-piece and put a stop on it, will replace it with one length of boost pipe when done.

Leak back test pete?

ah top job peter. will do that with it now. went out there and switched the dv`s round, but dont know what to do with the connection coming off the charge pipe??

Have the standard dv back on now, the dv itself is working fine as is the other, everything plumbed back to way it should be but now the power has dropped even more, stuttering and haggling on and off constantly, you cant give it any serious throttle or it just burbbles along at the same speed, like its choking its self?? I have replaced the N75, plugs, cant get the dam Vag-com to talk to the car to do any logs neither... Any ideas? Coil pack? this is really starting to crack me up something serious , F***in cars!!!

that is the new N75 J valve I bought for the car but removed it again as it has made no difference what-so-ever

I would be tempted to trace every single vac hose, check they are going to the right place and check them for leaks.

Is the car running faulty all the time or is it intermittent?

Do you know anyone near you with the same car so you can try swapping parts over etc?

Or do you know anyone with a working copy of VAGCOM that can check for faults and run some logs?

Its going like a heap all the time mate, do just as you say and scan everything for leaks but I have no way of telling if there pipes are in the correct location, most of the original ones will have them hateful wee clamps on the connection anyway?
I Disconnected the battery there for half hour to see if it will benefit from reset.

Na mate, to tell you the truth I aint even seen another cupra around here, I dont know if there is anyone else on the site from NI that would fancy meeting up and doing a bit of comparing? I would make it worth their while!

I have vag-com, its was givin me bother too but ended up to be licensing problems, I have to buy the full version in order for it too work..

all look dead on to me from that picture, do you think I should try the n249 bypass? Can it be done when using the standard DV?

What does it run like on tick over? Any lights on the dash? Can you post up some pictures of your engine bay as it currently?

Idle is 100%.. no lights.. Will get a few pics lined up here shortly
