just rough times - about 6 seconds for me in std leon cupra tdi - wanna see if thats right by everyone elses...

Around your time id say, if my cars been stood a while, after that the performance seems to die quite rapidly. (asume its the intercooler telling me to go forge) haha. In standard form my car shoves you back when you boot it from 3k revs (after taking the throttle easy) it just badgers up the boost when you go into 3rd.

The Forge FMIC doesnt increase power mate, but it does keep the power with less heat soak. If you then get a remap it can add bhp

2nd gear doesnt do 60mph in my FR TDi

I cant remember dead on, but I think its like 58mph on the speedo, so probs abit off tbf

I think mine is around 5 seconds. 2nd gear @ 20mph is a sweet spot for my car to make good progress, so with a good change to 3rd, and no 2nd gear wheelspin, I would hope 5 seconds is reasonable.

Well, to put in a data point at the lower end of the performance curve, in my standard TDI 110 Toledo it takes me just over 8 seconds, changing up at about 50.

Just tried this did two runs managed 5.8 ish with TCS on, 6.2 with TCS off due to traction loss in 2nd. Also not the best gear changes due to laptop flying around. I have to say though I was timing using a stopwatch i had stuck on the dash so not the best.

Had a little go earlier. Was slowing down in a 40 limit to let a car in front turn in left, then absolutely floored it! Was impressed by lack of wheelspin despite being damp -Think my new diff is really helping. By my count I did 20 to 50 (in 2nd gear the whole time) in about 3 seconds. However, I bailed due to the speed limit and did a 2nd to 5th change at 50 and backed right off. Factoring in a change to 3rd and going up to 65mph indicated, I think my 5 second estimate is about right. Love my motor.

There is a slight reason our cars dont rev to 7,000rpm however

More like 80 as second is geared for around 11mph per 1000 rpm!

it is true if our cars would rev like a petrol it would be like driving a subaru impreza 06 style power/torque wise ha! (ok maybe a fair few horses less heheh).

It does suck ive always wanted a car which does 60 in second with a mapped 130 what sort of speeds are you talking out of second? mine will happily do 40mph. Would have said with the extra 30-40hp maybe extra 5mph? or doesnt it work like that...

It doesnt work like that. The engine will still rev at the same RPM per MPH.

So a 130bhp car as standard that does 70mph @ 2,200rpm that has had a big turbo etc etc running 280bhp will still only do 70mph at 2,200rpm.

MPH vs Revs will only increase if you increase revs, so take the limiter off or up. Which on a diesel is pretty damn usless indeed. As By 5,100rpm (limiterish) you have very little power due to the way diesel and the engine works.
