Need 20000 mile service on my 57 plate Leon FR. Am in the West Midlands and phoned around, prices from £170 (Wolverhampton) to £225 (Birmingham!!!!).

Anyhow, Kidderminster Seat quoted £175 and I am thinking of using them as have heard good reports about them, but the woman said that Seat 'recommend' brake fluid change at this mileage and that they charge £25 for this!!!

Cant find anything in service schedule 'recommending' brake fluid change, so Im guessing shes just trying it on!!

Anyone heard anything about this?? Or can anyone recommend other Seat service dealers in the area??

Cheers.

Oh right thanks for that robdf2. The car isnt two years old, its about 19 months but in that case I might have it done then.

Cheers.

I'm paying £200 @ Ted Johnson with brake fluid done on mine in a couple of weeks, so that price is about right.

Thanks rllmuk, that makes the price seem reasonable, because doing a search on here people seem to be getting much cheaper servicing.

That sounds cheap to me, I just paid £255 for my service at Listers in Coventry, and a further £60 for brake fluid change (20k service too). However, the oil in itself was £55 due to being long life / 507 etc.

Last time I go to a dealer though as found an independent just down the road for about £100 less.

My Cupra service was about £170.

Did get given a top up oil like Nick did and a the remains of the washer fluid top up even though I told them NOT to touch it. [:@]

Tried to overcharge me as well when I went to pay. :censored:

Both local dealers were a similar price.

Stafford Audi (35 miles from Birmingham just off Jct 14 M6), as advertised on a service thread as Service Made simple. Ist 10k service £150 including courtesy car and valet, then 10 months d/d at £14.90 which takes care of the 2nd 20k service as and when required, and this can be repeated, at the moment, through the cars service span. Great service and customer care.
