Hi guys,

Today i went to ****** to get my leon 110 tdi remapped and as helpful as they were they could'nt remap the car today.

The ****** team have told me the problem could be mass airflow metre or the turbo as the wiring and engine look to clean and new for a car thats done a 114k miles.

i have no idea why the car is currently running under 70 bhp, could anyone help me out in some way or another.

i have provided the dyno sheet of the car and it looks a complete mess.

Thanks again

Hi thanks for you reply

The car had a health check before the dyno runs and no fault codes came up.

So I have no idea were to start looking.

what you need to do is to
vcds do a actuator test to see if boost valve/egr valve are working
in measuring blocks/data you can see if air mass meter is reading correctly
check all vacuum hoses
where are you based ?

check in vcds section for someone near you that can check this info i gave you if no luck give me a call and we could arrange something if your willing to travel!

Thank you very much pete.

I may just do that.

I will try and find someone close first and take it from there.

Just a quick update, I have replaced the maf and car does feel abit smoother.

Could their be anything else, at the garage my mechanic checked for fault codes and they are none.

Another update just been told:

Turbo is fine
Egr is fine
New maf put on
No error codes

So I'm completely lost now

carried out a VCD check and located 2 error codes which are:
01314 and 00562.

could someone please shed some light on what these codes and what do i need to do to clear them?
could this also be the cause of my loss of power?

thanks

Hi guys,

finally got my leon 110 tdi sorted after four mad weeks of trying to source the problem.

took it to psi tuning, and the problem was a boost valve.

whilst i was their i got the car remapped aswell and have now really fallen back in love with it.

I left my house today with 68bhp (seriously underpowered) and left psi with 141bhp and 270 torques.

(Sorry for posting twice)

thanks all for your help

Glad you've got it fixed at last. Lots of power now. Consider upgrading the brakes.

I've never heard of anything on a TDI called a boost valve before. Did they give you any better description? If I had to guess based on what you've said so far I''d bet on the N75 valve, the one that controls the turbo vanes.

Good stuff mate. Big nossles now and a three bar map sensor and you'll feel like you've just bought a brand new car. I'll post a power graph from my leon when I get a mo. The difference is less of a flat spot from 2500 - 3500 rpm.

Power graph of 02 110 bhp TDI leon. Transported T4 injector bodies, apparently it makes little difference between those or standard, with bosio 0.216 um nossles. A three bar map sensor. Standard airbox and filter with standard intercooler and exhaust system. Standard turbo. A homemade tuning box which was set for slightly less power than previous. 0-60 was 7.8 secs with this set up compared to a previously and consistently achieved 7.5 secs.

Pimped up vario that Is mental! 0-60 in7.5 focking hell mate that is fast.

I'll post a pic of my dyno graph too when I get time.

Is your car remapped?

Get it posted. Very interested.

The mates mk2 golf is even more mental. It's got an ALH tuned engine with 227 bhp but the way it makes the power and where it makes it. It is as quick as 270 bhp tdis of a similar type. Maybe the gearing, it topped out at 156 mph on GPS. I can post a pic of his power graph if you like. He's got it for sale too, wish I had the doe.

The leon is sold at the start of the year and I miss her. She had a three bar map sensor that I'll have to hoke the number out for, I've got a old done one. She wasn't remapped but had a home made tuning box which worked a treat. I'm trying to get it hooked up to my Cordoba but am a bit busy at the minute.

The tuning box ran well. The idle felt a bit lumpy, shivery at times and the CEL came on a time or two but that could have been due to the EGR being disconnected. I never got it diagnosed and it never lost poke. 57000 miles give or take with the box in and bigger injectors for about 50000 miles and no bad noises from the engine, just as good as at 18000miles. And no issues with over smoking, light grey.

i have Been very busy lately with work, will get it posted soon.

Pimped up vario are you still on standard clutch, and what would you recommend would be the best route to seen me at 170+ bhp?

also, you mentioned putting a 3 bar map sensor on, what can i expect with just adding that on atm?

Turbo, nozzles and a remap will easily get you 170, get as big as you can afford. Even things like the Bosio Race nozzles can run smoke free on a stock car as long as they're set up right.

At the moment your nozzles are holding you back but we're only talking like 10 -15 hp but every little helps. You should also manage 300ft/lbs of torque too.

Don't know how they came up with the N75 being the issue either, those codes are for a problem communicating with the ecu and the oil sensor lol.

And he gets 0-60 like that because his car's a lightweight lol, I got my cordy down to 10 seconds just with nozzles but the Mk4 golf estate is like a total tank. The leon should be a bit better though as it's a hatch back with a little bit less bulk to carry.

I bet your leon reeked my little pimp buddy :D Tuning box as in an every mod?

I kicked the ass off a PD130 hatch the other night going up a big hill, I hit 100mph but it was a task lol. I need my injectors set to a higher pop pressure so I can get the most from them with the standard turbo. With the lower pressures I was starting to get a little bit of smoke but my main man tweaked the map so that's cleared for now.

130mph on the level is very easy though, really need better shocks and better brakes before i do anything like that again, twas a bit freaky lol
