Thanks for that.

Yeah my engine bay is standard.

So it's 3mm I need, is it difficult fitting the pipes on and taking old ones of.

Is that your engine bay?

I bought the ram air stuff off ebay, the 3mm is stretchy and fits over the 5mm fittings no problem but is a nice secure fitting on the smaller ones too.

And yeh that's my engine bay.

Just get 4-5 metres of 3mm silicone pipe off ebay and follow one of these diagrams depending on wether your car's standard or not.
Looks good too

I noticed you don't have a wire going into your egr valve, why's that?

You mean the vacuum pipe? It's disconnected, I took out the egr solenoid too but I still have the ASV connected.

Picked up a breather pipe from DEALER today, going to get the silicone pipes tomorrow from creations motorsport and get them fitted.

Hopefully then car is running normal again, I notice in 3rd and 4th gear a hissing/fluttering noise could that be the cause of my problem?

Car really has become sluggish in all gears except 5th, and starting to piss me off now.

I spent Alot of money on the car and been nothing but problems from the day I bought it.

Yeh it was a lot smoother power, I found a few cracked ends of the old piping that you just couldn't see when they were in place.

right guys just thought ill give you boys a update.

breather pipe was put on and there was no change in drive.

i then got a friend to help change my all my vacuum pipes and i couldnt believe the state they were in, you only notice how bad they are when their off the car. i then turned the key and let the car heat up before turning it off and leaving it overnight.

a mate of mine came the following day in his mk5 golf gt tdi, i jumped in my car and as soon as i moved of i new she was back. i forgot how quick she accelerates and left my mate and his golf for dead.

i want to thank everyone for helping me out recently especially seatmann, really appreciate it.

Cool, it is quite surprising how bad those silly little pipes get behind the covering, mine were a hell of a mess and I'd only replaced them the previous year. Did you go with the silicone?

yeah got the silicone ones, very happy now.
engine bay looks alot smarter also.

hoping to get .216 nozzles from a transporter and custom remap in the future.

Anyone now if ill have to uprate my clutch?

Probably at some point, if yours is the 5spd though you can fit the G60 flywheel and the sachs VR6 clutch kit. They can be a bit noisy at idle but who cares, they're strong and can take a good dose of power easily and they're cheap.

Anyone no where i can get .216 nozzles from? And would second hand be just as good.

Also do i need to custom map or can this wait?

Would i also need to get a set of 5 or so as I'm unsure how much you need

As long as the nozzles are set up they can go straight into a stock car with no mods, mine were like that for ages and it's only recently I got a map. I bought mine from the states.

What do you mean by " set up properly"? So i cant just buy them and install them straightaway.

Also where's the best place to buy them and how much?

How hard are they to install?

What year model of transporter do I need it from?

Sorry for the questions.

Thanks

Any of the 5 cylinder 150 hp ones, or you could just buy them new from somewhere like darkside developments. I think the engine code was AEL

The injectors are mechanical and they're two stage, the fuel pressure just builds up then the initial stage begins then the main stage so they're much better to be set up so they all work at the same pressure, all balanced. it means you get the best from them otherwise you'll probably just smoke or could even ruin the pistons from them getting washed with to much fuel. It's called pop testing. Darkside charge £125 for the job which isn't to bad. Mine cost me nearly £300 after import duty etc and that was also getting them in a sale but they're good for about 200bhp with the right setup.
