i have Been very busy lately with work, will get it posted soon.

Pimped up vario are you still on standard clutch, and what would you recommend would be the best route to seen me at 170+ bhp?

also, you mentioned putting a 3 bar map sensor on, what can i expect with just adding that on atm?

Adding the 3 bar map sensor atm wouldn't do a terrible lot for you. You really need the turbo to do more. Bigger injectors like seatmann said. Then it would be good to have.

I was still on the standard clutch when I sold it. It was slipping on the rolling road but I only ever got it to slip on the actual road when doing a 2nd gear launch in the wet to see if I could cut down on wheel spin. It was an import with no aircon or edl, esp etc and weighed 1289kg fully fulled and no driver. Thank you works weigh bridge.

This fella's not doing too bad for power. Although he doesn't mention a 3 bar map sensor.

You can add more fuel which will make more boost which will get to a set level where the ecu will either limit the boost pressure level or put the engine in limp mode. I'm not too sure by what means it informs the ecu of the operating parameters but the sensor permits higher boost pressures to be run. Kerma recommend informing your tuner to stop turbo damaging pressures being reached. To be honest I never had a boost gauge on the leon so can't offer an informed opinion on the safety aspect of things from my experiences.

Here's a link for the homemade tuning box for the leon.

It should work for the cordoba as well. I neglected to note the connecting wires at the wiring harness and the link is blank of info unless you can read norweign, I think. Hopefully I'll get it wired up this weekend. It wasn't too smokey in the leon. Just a bit of stur before it came on boost then a light grey haze. The cordoba weighs 1226kg so shouldn't go too badly with about 150bhp. That's what I'm going to try and torture the turbo out too. Most of the ahu engines on the tdi forum stop at about 135bhp on the standard turbo.

You'll never get 150 out of that little turbo lol, it's just to small, that's why you don't see anything above 135 and to even get 135 you'd be smoking like a steam train.

I've got 141 bhp, not too smokey either.

It's been about 3-4 weeks now after getting my car remapped but now it doesn't feel as quick as the day I got it mapped. Is it just me getting use to the power or could it be loss of power.
I mean it still pulls all the way to redline, I don't think it could be power loss.
But 1 things for sure:

I WANT MORE POWER!

Lol I know exactly what you mean, I was just thinking the same thing driving home just now lol. I've already burnt off a Mk4 golf PD130 in my estate but I just want MORE! :D

I think I'm probably about the 140 marks too.

Once you go to big power you can't go back. If you're giving it the beans shift at 4250 at the latest and you'll gain more speed than redlining it. I used to make my leon go to 75mph in third and the mate was like do you not feel it slowing down after 70 mph and right enough you noticed it once you were looking for it and not concentrating on not crashing going along a back road. :D If you look at your power graph printout it ties up with the way the power tails off.

I know they use different turbos but have a similar peak power rpm value, as standard anyway. But I noticed on my AHU tdi engine that the higher I revved the enigne the higher the exhaust gas temperatures got with no added speed value.

hi guys I recently posted on this section regarding my car not being as quick as iwhen I first got it remapped.
I noticed that my breather pipe has a split and can feel oil on the bottom of the pipe.

would this affect performance?

you can see it's been taped. it is leaking just before it connects on the arm at the connection point

Follow the boost pipes, yo might well have a leak at one of the joins. Check down at the intercooler, it's down the right hand front behind the wing, Look for oily mess around any joins which could indicate a leak.

does anyone no where I Can get a smoke test done from in Birmingham to check for boost leaks

Lots of black reek out the back when you give it the boot will be your leak test. :) What about doing the old toilet paper test. Just go round all the joints and see where it gets blown at and theres your leak.

Just check down at the IC like I said, it's in behind the front drivers wing. If there's a leak you'll see all the mess of oil etc.

i had a quick check today around all the pipes and havent really noticed any other leaks.

I did notice quite a lot of oil around the engine which was due to a little hole on the engine filler cap, was told to get this changed asap.

Also theres some oil around that little hole on the egr valve, not sure if its supposed to do that?

would any of these have an affect on why my car has become hesitant?

Anyone now of any places doing smoke tests in birmingham, have phoned many mechanics but noone seems to do it?

Were are the vac pipes located. What's the best way in checking there's a leak other than a visual check, also tried spraying soapy water and looking for bubbles which didn't work aswel.

Just get 4-5 metres of 3mm silicone pipe off ebay and follow one of these diagrams depending on wether your car's standard or not.
Looks good too
