Old discs and pads off. Totally fubar

Fitting the TT brakes tomorrow so should be a world of difference.

Got these as well. Don't imagine they'll be on long before they go missing

Been looking back though this thread and not sure why some of the image links have broken, oh well.

Not much been happening since the front brakes were sorted.
Went to bleed all 4 again and when loosening the bleed nipples from the rear calipers, the threads stripped on one

So ended up with bleeding all 4 brakes and replacing all fluid.
1 x brand new rear caliper.
New OEM spec Brembo discs and pads on rear brakes
Handbrake cable adjusted.

It was dynoed back in the summer there and with just the PD160 cold air feed and turbo back exhaust it made 144bhp and 240lb/ft of torque so not too bad for unmapped FR.

Video below of the dyno run whilst it still had a silenced (but straight though) backbox on the rear

Another video of it pulling away with the unsilenced backbox fitted

Picture of it whilst on the dyno

Didn't realise how long had passed with me not updating this thread.

Not loads happening but few more developments.

TCS light was coming on after 10 minutes so fixed the alternator load cable via the guide on here. Sorted!

Been having a weird issue with the glow plugs as well.
EML has been on for over a year advising glow plug 3 is faulty.
Tested them all manually with resistance test on a multimeter and all ok apart from plug on cylinder 3
Replaced glow plug 3 last week with a Denso unit. Cleared fault codes and EML went off. Happy days.

Few days later, EML came back on.
Checked fault codes and now 1.3 and 4 are showing faults.
Removed the glow plug rail from plug, checked it all. No oil, dirty or visible damage. Refitted, cleared codes and ok again for a few more days and then same issue returns. No idea what it is

Got my dash cam hard wired to the ignition as well. Much tidier and means i can use the cigarette lighter shocker to charge my phone again

Managed to get this, driving like a granny on a 60 mile round trip. Mostly motorway

Got some new Pagid discs and pads for the front as well as current ones are warped to death.
4 new Uniroyal Rainsport 3 to be fitted soon as well as the Proxies are well worn

Fitted some number plate surrounds and facelift rear lights, but might but the FR ones back in.

It has been a while, so long so that my car is off the road and in pieces ;)

Where abouts do you live? I have 4x nearly new Rainsport 3 tyres for sale!

Apart from glow plugs, glad it's still running smooth.

I was looking for your project thread and it wasn't showing anymore, then i seen your stuff for sale in the for sale section. Sad times.

I seen your Rainsports you had for sale as well but i needed 17's for these VRS Spiders. I live in Scotland as well so would have been a bit of a distance to collect.

Wheels to be painted when new tyres fitted as well. Not sure to go for Titanium again or else Silver or something different this time.

Yeah, the admins deleted it as they thought it was a breaking thread, lost all that hard work...

Forgot you had VRS wheels.

You could go funky colour ;)

This will be up for sale at some point soon as i leave the SEAT scene and enter the Skoda one instead and replace this with a Fabia VRS

Rust is starting to creep in on this and the lacquer is starting to fail in places as well. The cost for me to fix that and fit all the mods to get it how i want it would be a fair bit and the Fabia i've found is a much better deal for me money wise.

It already has all the mods done to it, i'd like to do to this. SMF, Forge intercooler, custom remap, poly bushed, bigger brakes, rear etc

I'll be keeping the wheels and potentially the exhaust from this though to swap to the Fabia.

I'm being paid off from my work in March sometime as well so need to be sensible with all my costs on stuff.
