Hi All,
I have just had the dreaded conrod failure on the 1.9 TDI BXE engine in my 2008 Leon.
No warnings or anything, just a sudden breakdown on the Motorway.
I do want to get this back on the road as I've put a lot of work into the car so I know all other aspects of it are sweet.
Just wanted some advise on getting this sorted?
1) I believe the easiest way to get around the issue is drop another BXE engine in?
2) Is it worth getting someone to attempt fixing the issue?
3) Is it possible to easily drop a different more reliable variant of the 1.9 TDI engine in? for e.g. BKC?
Help would be much appreciated.
Regards,
Tahir
