2009 Tdi Engine cover

Hi all,

I have just bought a 2009 (59 plate) 2.0 Tdi 140bhp SE, 18500mls from SEAT main dealer. Very very happy with the car, but was wondering if anyone knows whether this model/year came with an engine cover. It does not have one so will go back to dealer if it should.

If it's a facelift then I presume it definitely should, mines a 2010 CR170 and looks like this

Yes it is a face lift so will go back and see.

It's not just a cover though, it is padded to provide sound proofing too.

Pretty sure they dropped the engine cover in the 140 but it was on ore facelift not sure about facelift

How strange seeing as they are physically identical to a 170, fg bean counters strike again, pretty sure I've seen 140's with a cover though 'cos I nearly bought one.

Not sure it will, my 1.2tsi doesn't and i believe the 1.4tsi doesn't either. I may be wrong though

The engine cover is shown on ETKA for the 140TDi.

BKD engine : 03G 103 925 BF : £100. There is no sound insulation shown, only for the 1.9TDi.

BMM engine : 03G 103 907 : £90. The Sound Insulation (looks to be an integral part of the Cover) is 03G 103 967 C : £101.

It seems these 2 engines overlapped.
BKD : 07/2005-09/2011
BMM : 10/2005-10/2010

I have an engine cover that is only 2 years old and in A1 condition in my shed that I don't want. It's off of a 2.0 CR170. Make me an offer of around half that and it's yours.

Lots of other Exeo bits too...................
