Just done brakes and the rear slide pins have a rubber collar which goes in to the caliper carrier the collar is torn off a bit, can you replace the pins for ones without the rubber collar as they are a pain to get back in again
I'd stick with just buying rubbers and use silicon grease when refitting them, they are not very tricky to get back on - the only reason that I've needed to take any of them off was due to me using too much blue Lokite on the bolts!
