288mm to 312mm brake upgrade

I have a 1.4tsi SC and I currently have the 288mm brakes on 18” alloys, can I just upgrade the disc size to 312mm and still use the same calliper?

or can I get a bigger size disc than 312mm in the wheels without spacers, I known I’ll definitely need bigger callipers if I can fit the bigger discs

When I did mine from 288 to 312mm I only needed discs and calliper carriers I used original callipers.
