Out of interest, for those who have harness's fitted where have you taken the mounts from, particularly interested in where people mount the left hand side waist belt harness point too.

Been thinking of taking the back mount from the OEM seat belt mount, same for the right hand side waist belt mount but need to figure out where to mount the left to.

Havant had the seats and carpet out yet to take a look, hoping to get an answer before going to that extent! Cheers...!

craig, i need to sort this out to

my 4 points are going to have 2 attached to the cage, one to the outer sill, where the original seat belt mountng bar bolted, but need a left strap mount somewhere near the transmission tunnel

iv got mine in the back were the rear lap belt bolt to, and the same with the right side, if you pull up the trim youl see the ancor point but you may need to trim the plastic as youl be coming off the bolt and not the rail, and as fot the lfet i just used the seat belt point, if you take the clipper bit off were it meats the seat you can bolt in there, i eaven managed to keep the clpper bit and now i can use eather belt fine.

Is this in conjunction with an OEM seat?

bad move if so.

This is what I did with my 4 pointer which attaches to the original rear belt mountings

You need to mount two eyelet back plates under the floor, I used to have them in the centre of the exhaust tunnel right at the back infront of the rear seats... but then I had a new rollcage put in and it mounts there... so... they are now either side of the exhaust tunnel at the back just in front of the seats.

If you look under the car you can figure out where the exhaust heat shielding finishes, at this point you can drill holes for the eyelets to go through.
Mount the backplates low down (so the exhaust won't knock on them) and tighten the eyelets to them from inside the car. The backplates normally have a small hole in one corner to allow you to rivot/screw them into place before putting the eyelet bolts in. If you still run carpets you can slice an 'X' in it for the eyelet to poke through. Simple, just need a drill!

Back plates can be bought from any decent motorsport shop (most cage manufacturers have them too) eyelets should come with your harnesses but can be bought from the same places.

Hope this helps.
