30K Service Croydon

Trying to keep my 55 FR in good condition I took it in for a service. Don't you just love,em.Fully prepared to expect a high bill it appears is not enough because guess what 30 minutes after taking it into the garage they rang me to tell me that the rad is leaking and I need a new one fitted. Great the quote so far to have it suplied and fitted without the cost of the service is £452inc vat. I cannot blame the garage because it obviously needs doing but it still hurts.
Does anyone know of a decent mechanic /garage local to Croydon because if they do I would imagine their labour charges would be cheaper than a Seat Dealership so can you let me know if you do know of either.

I recommend Chipstead Valley Garage in Coulsdon. They are a small independant garage but have 2/3 very experienced mechanics there. Labour rates are good, can source many parts and if I am honest, I trust them alot more than any SEAT garage in the area, in fact I would trust them 100% with anything

It must be the air out that way because I have always used Dobles in Coulsdon when buying a bike and they give a good service as well

No worries, it's hard to find a good garage around. You might as well give them a call, the £452 sounds quite steep if you ask me from the SEAT dealer. Even if you want a genuine rad from SEAT, I am sure these guys can slash the labour costs at least.

Could try tuningwerkes in south croydon had a few bits from Reuben recently and looked after the car whilst the wheels were refurbed.

Take it to AmD Essex, It will be worth the drive around the M25, and you can take the Mrs to Lakeside while the cars being worked on
