Evening people.
Any of you know of any commom front brake caliper fault/issues?
I have a 2005 20vt FR that warps front discs within 3k.
New wheel bearings, driven as gentle as I can for 250 miles to bed in but as said within 3k they are totally knacked, I am fed up with it now.
The tdi cupra I had previously with the 288 set up never did this in 70k.
I have had the car 10 months and I am on my 3rd set fitted 2 months ago and they are toast. FYI they are apec, fitted by me and hub faces mint before discs fitted.
Will OEM/performance cure it?
Cheers
Glynn

Tried to stop at a junction and the friction material broke away from the backing plate of one of the pads. Cue a mad pumping of the breaks to get it to stop. They had only done a few thousand miles too.

I've got the same problem,I'm running red stuff pads on genuine discs.I keep warping discs like mad but it properly my pads.and I keep gettin mega brake fade after 2 times of using them when I slow down fro
About 60.I think bramble on the way tho

Done 112k in My LC so far, changing front and rear discs next month for the first time.

I've been using Mintex pads, no problems really. I do get brake fade if I've used my brakes hard on a roundabout before trying to slam on for another roundabout coming up at 120+ tho. lol.

But everyday use they're fine.
