3rd brake light change??

Hi guys

Have my mot tomorrow and ive noticed that the third brake light on the spoiler isnt working..

Does anyone know how to change the bulb as i cant see how you can remove it from the spoiler???

You need to remove the spoiler, unplugg the wires and there are two torx slots beneath the black squares of tape. needs to be a long reach to get to them, then wiggle it out of the spoiler. Simples! but a faff on,

It shouldnt fail an MOT on the hi-level being out. Just an advisory

It could do because all cars after 1999 had to be fitted with a high level brake light.

I ended up cutting bigger slots in mine to get a normal screwdriver in, because they do need quite a long driver.

Did manage to work it out, but havent got time to sort it as mot is 10am tomorrow

Am i right in thinking if i leave the spoiler off the car for the test then it will be ok?

Just a heads up for other people

It failed with the spoiler removed (which i had a feeling it would)

All cars after 1999 were fitted with one and if it isnt there its still a fail!!

Managed to sort mine though
