Ok so I have a forge short shift. Front/back and left/right. My gear changes are great. I'm very happy.

My question is, what improvement will I get on an already good gearshift. (talk to me in idiot terms) :)

So the gear motion is reduced further? Or it stops any unessessary gear wobble? SOS I'm just getting an idea of how my gear change co- ordination can be improved further?

Any play you have in soft bushes will be removed, so if yours are worn with play, then yes slightly less movement will be needed, should feel more positive and less spongy.

Just tried to order some of these & Awesome wanted £18 for delivery! :(

I think not - Bushes only cost £27.

Really! I'd heard they'd put there prices up but they must have stopped free delivery as well.
Try Eddie at WOT Motorsport. He stocks a lot of 42DD parts.

They're taking the p charging 18 quid to deliver a few little metal bushes. I'm not technically in the Highlands postal area either!

Will try the other guy. Thanks.

f*ck me, what a price for these bushes.

I got a set of these in 2009 and they sure as hell weren't £35 (or £45!)

At the time they did free shipping to the UK, and their current price is under £17 a set.

You pays your moneys, you takes your choice....

Got a set of these fitted a few weeks ago.
Made a huge difference and I've still got the standard shifter.

Re-setting the linkages was a bit of a pain in the arse tho, reverse is still a bit of a pain to get in.
