This weekend saw a beast of a car being detailed. This is probably the fastest Pug 106 in the country boasting 450BHP, 380 of which are at the wheels in an 800KG shell! Race clutch, race cams, roll cage and differential, its clear that no expense was spared in making a car “that would scare” a lot of people once moving.

The car was sprayed over a year ago however the paint wasn’t up to the standard Dean was expecting. Dean has done a superb job of looking after the car since, regularly using the two bucket method and SRP monthly has kept the paint work in good clean condition. Of course the main problem was swirling and a plan for agreed on how we would tackle this.

Here are the results of the first pass with 203S. Quite impressed with the cutting and glossing capability. Just gives you that little bit more cut that the 106FA but you don’t lose the gloss factor like you do with intensive polish.

For the second stage I decided on Dodo Juice Lime prime instead of Menzerna. Reason for this was I tried Lime Prime via machine on one panel first, the results were so good I didn’t think twice to do the whole car with it. Gave a super deep gloss finish and my mrs even commented on what a difference LP made.

With this special car Dean wanted the interior machined also. Weapon of choice was Lime Prime again as many of the scratches were real deep so I went for look over correction. Worked out pretty well!
