Hello, I am hoping some kind soul can help me , our car decided that it would not shift out of the Park position on the gear selector , my wife was driving at the time so I am not quite sure of the lead up to it not wanting to shift out of P. The recovery driver and myself found a thread with advice how to get it out and that worked and the car does drive fine , no issues with the auto box but the advice said don’t put it back in P , as such I can’t take the ignition key out which I presume is interlocked into selecting the P position. Have I got an issue with the brake light switch or some sort of electrical device / switch that pressing the brake pedal would normally allow me to shift out P? Many thanks for any your thoughts
