Just a quick one for you all, Would a 55 plate FR front bumper fit straigh on to my 2000 20VT? Thanks :D

not without buying extra fitments, e.g. wheel arch extensions etc. theres a list somewhere. just search.;)

Not as simple as i thought? I was thinking just old one off new one on, Oh well thats that idea out of the window. I dont really want it to be too much of a big job. I think the facelift bumper would be easyer? or not?

its a straight swap. i knew a few people who have put cupra r kit on there leons. the body is exactly the same, the only difference between models is the bumpers.

Wrong wrong wrong - you'll still need the fitting kit and the arch extenders.
The fittings for the fog lights are different between the old bumper and the LCR as well - the old bumper and the FR are the same though.

There's a guide on the main site : it's not that much of a job, I've done it and I'm proper lazy.

Yeah i think i have seem the guide? So what ever bumper i want i wil need some extra parts? Iare the fog light fitting on a facelift the same? How much did it all cost you mate?

i followed "fallen angel" guide...spot on, good pics too..
i put on a cupra facelift bumper on a 1.8 se.
yes you need the wheels arch liner extensions but only a few quid and also the bumper guides to attach side of bumper to the car again a few quid.
most expensive was the centre rad grill £ 30 for a peice of plastic,
my fog lights were a straight swap..

Nice one mick! Where can i find the guide please?

click on members then goto "f", scroll down till you find fallen angel and click on that.
click on his web page and it should open up a new page.
click on seat leon fiiting guides and gallery and voila 1 bumper fitting guide.
the only thing i can remember that was a "doh" moment was when fitting the passenger side fog light, the horn was in the way... a bit of bending and moving they went back on and my fog light fitted.
if i recall put front of the bumper on 1st ie where the seat badge is, cause you need to get the bonnet release through.
it should rest nicely but make sure before letting go.don't want to break the release. then do the sides, and finally the front bolts.

Good stuff! Well thats good news for me coz the one im after is on this site in the for sale. I thought you might of got in there before me!!
