No more shiny shiny! Will be going into the coaters tomorrow morning!

Looking forward to seeing these finished and on the car. I have been thinking about a custom exhaust with a twin exit (1 each side) just a question of money lol

Hopefully I will get them back tomorrow. I will also be calling Ipswich to see if they are open on Saturdays. If they are then I may go there to get the exhaust done. If not I will have to wait till next week and book a day off work!

Also, I found out that there is a car store called Rude Racing next to my work place that offer window tinting! Perfect location for me to leave my car there and pick it up at lunch!

will look good when its done hopedully.
I suppose i could just take anything small i want blasting to work as we have a sand blaster at work lmao, only just remembered when i read this

Was only £20 so not to bad! I did look at getting my own supplies for blasting and powder coating. Looks fun. But what Id love is to be have something to be able to coat plastics. (like flocking, but I don't like flocking) lol

Great read about your car, gave me some inspiration of what to do with mine (have the same model, 5D black metallic)
The debadging made it look a lot better, how did you debadge yours ?

Thanks mate! Would be good to see what else someone can make of a black 5Dr! I do it the standard way with a hair dryer and fishing wire/floss. Heat the letters till they start to move by hand and gently use the string to cut them away. I then used some tar remover to remove the left over sticky.

Tail pipes are in the shop getting a nice semi gloss black coating!

Should be able to collect in the next few days. Will probably be Monday I recon. I'll get pics up when I get them back!

Just read your entire thread mate and from start to finish I can honestly say this is the best looking 5 door mk5 I have seen, alloys suit it perfectly and that custom cat back should look good, can't wait to see it when it is on

Keep up the good work and don't be shy when it comes to updates ;)

Thanks Guys and Girls! I'm really looking forward to the end result. I'm hoping the exhaust will completely transform the rear end.
I'm already eyeing up my next mod lol
