6 speed box in a mk2???

Hi i'm thinking of dropping a 6 speed box into my 1.9 TDi as i do a lot of motorway miles and want more efficiency. Can this be done? if so what box and shafts do i require?

CTN code box from a mk3 golf has an extra long fifth gear and will bolt straight in. Probably cheapest easiest option for cruising.

if you let me know what box you have at present i can dig out the gear/diff ratios if it helps ?

should be stamped in the casing somewhere readable = usually 3 letters prominent CDA/ASD/CTN etc

it is an ASD gearbox, ive been looking around for a couple months for options. 1 of the guys i work with has a MK4 golf TDi 110 with a 6 speed convertion but his box is from a golf VR6.
