Looking at two Leon Cupra TDIs and trying to decide if it's best to save a grand and get the one with 100,0000 miles on it?

They're both fully serviced.

The 100,000 miles car is 04 and an ex company car, the 60,000 miles car is 53 plate not sure about owners.

Would I be expecting a lot more trouble with the 100,000 mile car?

The 100k car will have been serviced regularly (as with 99% of Company Car's) but probably more likely to have been thrashed a little more (hire car syndrome)

The 60k car is a little more of a mystery, as you can't guarentee the previous owners, but i'd still have a look at it.

Mine was a 66k on a 53 plate, and when I got there found the guy had had it from new...little red Seat stamps ALL the way through the service book, at the same garage.

It's always a bit of a game of roulette when buying 2nd hand...but i'd still have a look...

One of the guys I work with has just sold his Mk1 diesel Cupra with 130k on it, and that was still purring like a kitten, he's upgraded to a Mk2, an actually preferes the Mk1...personal choise though at the end of the day.

Well I have a 130TDI, and I'm having the 60K service, Cambelt & Waterpump change done next Friday for £480 all in.

Thats by a local VAG specialist and thats about 150 cheaper then Seat.

Just to give you an idea.

(p.s the 1.9 Tdi 130 is tops!)

Cheers guys I'll try take a look at both then and see.

Oh, they're different colours, 100,000 is black, the other is Platinum Grey which I really loved when I started looking but not too sure about now lol.
