Hi all.

sorry to bother you with a common question, but cannot find answers i'm looking for

I am looking at putting a set of HID's on my Ibiza. a couple of questions

do all kits come with the HI/LO beam option, or do you have to but them separate.

also can you get the sidelights in HID's?

also which kit should i buy the 6000k or 8000k and why?

^ well you want dipped beams (low beams) and they are H7s!

As for sidelights i would go for LEDs, no bulb will get close to the colour of HIDs.

6000k as they are the closest colour to OEM xenons. 8000k are too blue and a bit chav if you ask me!

finally go to: HIDs4U.co.uk and purchase an Ultimate h7 kit..and use voucher code: autotunergrp for half price kits!

ok thank you mate

so will the H7's do my normal light and main beam or just one, they are 2 separate bulbs as well if you get me

i want the mean beam to be brighter too as i do a lot of miles on country lanes.

what kit would you say for this

nah i think i am going for the 6000k, but there is still one question not answerd haha.

will the one H7 kit do the LO beam, and main beam or will i need 2 seporate kits?

You just want H7 which is your "normal" headlights

Think i did lol

H7 is normal dipped beam for which you will need 1 kit (ballasts and bulbs)
H1 is your main beam and that would need another kit but its not recommended for the reasons stated above!

ok, so for the Lo beam im to go with H7 6000k, and then HI beam im to go with H4 6000k?

anyone got a rough idea on how much ill be looking at, and will there will be 4 balasts then? is it an easy job to fix onto the ibiza FR TDI??

ha ha easy fitting on FR Tdi!! Not much space in there for 2 ballast so good luck with 4! You hands with be destroyed after fitting them but it sooo worth it! I am still yet ti fit LED sidelights and nearly everyone on here who has them says they blow quickly and they arent exactly cheap to replace frequently.

thanks for that aimez,

lil boost of confidance haha. ill find a way of housing all 4, somehow, even if i have to take bits off.

where theres a will theres a way, just got to save some more money, as i have just bought a dvd plaer, and waiting to book it in at a specialist near me.

how long does it take to alagin the lights?

Where did you get H4 from? H4 bulbs are single bulb that does bith beams but are really cheep and crap imo

I'm sure OEM Xenon's are 4300K. :)

That i thnik they are

how long does it take to alagin the lights?

its a 5 minute job at a garage

so its between H1 and H3 for the main Beam,

what is the difference if any?

Completely different fittings i.e a bayonet and screw fitting on a house light bulb

Ill put my money on H1 same as fog lights i think lol
