a recall for my car

Lost a coilpack on my 1.6 today. Cost me £50 to get the AA to fit a new one.

Will call a dealer tomorrow.

What are the symtons of a coil failing?? Im gona ring my local dealer monday, just seen this ! Anyone know what Snows Seat in portsmouth are like??
Just had new MAF but engine light on again and still got flat spots on power !

Syptoms are the car mis firing.
Where did you buy your maf from if it's a rubbish one, hardly any point changing it.

The MAF was an original re-conditioned one ! The car is def running better with the new one, but still some loss of power and over the last week or so its not always starting on 1st turn of the ignition ! Ive just rang the Dealers and they are ringing me back, fingers crossed !

Took my Cupra to Listers Coventry on Friday for the coilpack recall. I mentioned to the service assistant when I arrived that I had a split breather hose, and that I had the replacement in the boot but hadn't got around to fitting it. 45 mins later they returned my car with new coilpacks and they had fitted the hose for me Even offered to valet the car, but I was in a rush so declined the offer. Top service.

All done ! Fantastic ! But apparently they think i have a split breather hose ! They wanted £119 to replace it
I declined, surely i can get it done cheaper than that
But very pleased about the coil pack, Thanks Guys

What one is it? You could probably DIY all the vacuum and breather hoses for less than that, plus some of the boost ones too.

Stealers replaced 1 of mine when it went in for it's service.
I've replaced a couple myself before....which was interesting.

Mine was in yesterday on recall. All coils replaced.
Free health check threw up a few problems. One being split breather. Y pipe on rocker cover.
Most likely this is your problem too.
They quote £75. Get on eBay for £25.
I'll be fixing it all up on Saturday

coil pack recall 05 lc

i took my lc to marshalls seat in leicester to get my auto locking switched off and they did a free healthcheck and told me that they changed a new coil pack on cylinder 4 under warranty lol its a 05 brilliant i do a majority of work on the car myself but marshalls leicester were a great service

Mines a 2005 LCR just rang seat and was told there's no outstanding recalls for my car.

wish i had the same response you guys are getting from the Stealers all i get is you'll get a letter in the post if your car is due a recall... can anyone supply me with a number of a dealer that did a check for the recall for you over the phone? thanks

Cheers for this guys! I read this thread ages ago and just got round to checking mine now. Rang seat and its due a recall. Free coil packs - My car is on a 53 plate and the coil pack code was "06B 905 151L"
