Have you tried Aviva and their Sister companies? I got a quote for £1.2k on this when I get my 1 years NCB in September....

I just started a new policy with Elephant there a few weeks ago, £1.3k for my 1.2 Ibiza.
Also tried a quote on a FR tdi for next February when I get 1 years NCB and am 19 - £1.3k. So not bad prices, but I have to wait a year to get something with a bit of power!

I'm gonna keep the car mate, so the wheels are deffo staying, they are my favourite bit!!

I can insure this (including all mods declared) and a modified mx5 together for just under £700 a year so it's not too bad

Its ok mate, my first year driving was under my dads name to keep the cost down.
Its actually cheaper in my own name this year than on my dads. Insurance is so random lol.
