a word of warning!!

i'm a very lucky boy! just recently i've noticed that my gearbox has been making a whining noise when i'm pootling about and when i had the MOT they inforned me that i had a small oil leak. so today i went down to TTS so the lads down there could get it up on the ramps and investigate further for me. there is what i can only describe as a sump plug type thing on the gearbox that was close to falling out! needless to say, there wasn't a great deal of oil left to drain out but it is now all tightened up with some fresh oil............................ i hate to think what would've happened if the plug had fallen out and the gearbox had gone on me

so if you have any noises coming from the gearbox i'd suggest that you get it looked at

oh, i also had my powerflex dog-bone bushes fitted, i wish i'd done it a lot sooner. an awesome mod for the money!

just wondering, how do u check the level of gearbox oil ? and how do u o about topping up?

pics would be great as wear to look?

the plug is a big torx type bolt, and i guess you stop putting oil in once it starts to drip out............................ i didn't actually get my hands that dirty to be honest!

i have no idea, you could put up a post in TTS roadsports section. i had something else looked at too so i can't really give you a price.
