I was doing similar mod to my e46 330 ci beemer. It turned perfect. I still have couple of pcb boards in my garage and few hundred leds. Soon as I get some free time i will try to build something for myself
The mod looks great and much much better that any other rear lights I have seen
I wouldnt mine having a crack at this myself. Does anyone have a complete list of exactly what's needed and a wiring diagram?
i did have a little idea, you can get thos flat self sticky strips, if you got a load of them and for example a bit of ply, cut the ply to shape, stick the led strips accordingly drill a couple of holes for wires, paint it all red, split the lights, stick the ply in and connect to the oem wires??? will it work, be cheaper...
Yes. Thats the only problem we have to solve- the rest is easysplitting them lights isnt going to be easy...

Just want to say that they are not particularly easy to take apart.
The only way to do it is by using a dremel and then you'll have to glue them back together.

I was thinking of having an extra set of side lights on the Leon like the Ibiza has - maybe putting twin element bulbs into the fog light holder.
will report back on what running wires into the boot is like
I've also thought of doing this Mark, but i'm not sure it can be done easily. The problem is the bulb holder for the rear fog light is designed for 1 filament and not dual like the stop/tail. So to put a stop/tail bulb in place of the single wouldnt work.... sorry.![]()
