AAAAARRRRGGGHHH - EPC/TB/EM/RPM Hunting...

Hi All,

Having a bit of a nightmare.

The EPC light came on the other day, but turned engine off and on again and all was fine until last night.

On the journey home, the car had a judder and then the TC and EPC lights came on and would only give me about 3500rpm.

Stuck VAGCOM on when home and no faults, went to go and get fuel but as soon as the ignition was on EPC/EM/TC lights came on. Plugged in VAGCOM and got some TB faults. Checked on here and most people have resolved this by cleaning the TB, did that this morning (it was filthy) performed a TB alignment but then the same problem occured. Went to check the TB on group 060 and the adaptation field was showing 'ERROR'.

Now I'm stuck! Should I take it to a stealer? Any quick fixes so I can drive to a stealer?

hmmm, could be battery I guess (still on the original battery from new), I remember the battery light did come on and the battery cut out during the journey home yesterday.

is it possible to check battery voltage via VAGCOM? What should the voltage be?

Any recommendation on battery?

sorry to bother u and bring up an old thread im new to this and iv owned seats for a while . . my 01 ibiza 1.8t but im having that excat problem and have spent good money on throtle body stealers took a look and still dont no stil the fault remains please help any 1

i have problem with rpm

throttle starts open/closing at idle sometimes and the rpm from 600 to 1300

any ideas?
