Looked old topics about catch cans and decided ask help anyway.

What's your opinion about catch cans, I want to delete PCV valve from intake, because it's probably broken. So what's the best way to do it?

I have plan that I remove block breather system with suction jet pump and install Adapter to block so I can use AN connectors. I have at work Catch can with two port so I tought that I use T-piece to connect block breather and head cover breather and connect those to one port and use other port for atmosphere ventilation hose which goes under the car.

Is there anything I should take were about, and is is "OK" for everyday car?

Appreciate if someone could help me out :) and sorry about my English

yeh thats the way to do it basically remove the whole lot, block off the pipes on the underside of the inlet manifold (think theres 2 but could be wrong), reconnect the line to the brakes,
"T" the crank breather and rocker cover together to the catch can and then from the catch can vent to atmosphere but make sure its in a wheel well or under the car as you dont want the fumes going into the cabin as they are toxic

Which is the the brake line please? Where is it disconnected and reconnected???

I reaaly don't want to mess this up and have no brakes......!!

Many thanks!

Matt I need to pop over and look at yours I've had a catch can sitting in the garage for ages

Looking to fit a catch can next month... are the ebay ones any good or should I spend the extra money on a 42DD one?

Just be very sure you don't get a can with restrictive inlet/outlets. Eg with something this:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/small-oil...arts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2332fb43d1

the baffles are too restrictive and will end up shagging your engine if your'e not careful.

Do a search on here and see what people advise. Ive got a 42dd but to be honest I think they are too expensive for what they are..

iv got a ebay one the fittings were 15mm any smaller will restrict it so that one is pretty much the same as iv got except mine is square, you will need 1-2m of pipe depending on how you are going to plumb it in and a "T" piece and jubilee clips as the ones you get in the kit are ****

this is the pipework under the inlet manifold that i removed

on the left side of the inlet manifold there is a "S" shaped bit thats removed with the rest of the pipes and there is a pipe that goes to the brake servo take this off the "S" bit and reconnect to the manifold its pretty simple to work out when you see it

Hobbiniho, many thanks for that, the penny has dropped :D :D

Left hand red line in your pic, the S shaped pipe, disconect the whole lot but reconnect the brake line from the pcv side and reconect the brake line to same point, mean while,

Right hand red line, this pipe is removed as a part of the pcv system and the port on the mannifold blocked off??

Thank you very much mate, so simples when you know what you need to do, just was so worried about screwing it up, messing up engine breathing and having no brakes at end of the road........
Will now be doing this as soon as my pipe work and t piece turn up :D

Many thanks again again!

yes the middle red one needs blocked off under the manifold, you will probably need to remove the little cover/plate at the front to get access unless you have the hands of a 5 year old haha

Ok cool. This sound a bit weird but I dont suppose you know if a catch tank has anything inside it like a baffle or similar as my one turned up today and it was empty basically a can with three holes.
