Hi everyone I've just inherited a 2005 Ibiza 1.4 'sport'. Im new to the world of Seat but ive owned many Volkswagens over the years, mainly of the Golf mk1 and mk2 variety.

The Ibiza is very nice but I was wondering if it is possible to upgrade the central locking to remote and how much it might cost as we only have normal key opening atm.

Has anyone done this?

All Ibiza's should have remote central locking anyway..

Not sure how much remote key's are, but i do know that they will need to be set to your car's specific frequency. don't ask me how, though :L

Really, thats interesting as my grandad has owned it from new and never had a remote key?

Would a dealer be able to tell me the frequency?

Also does anyone know why it only has passenger seat height adjustment?

Look in the MK4 FAQ section and read the FLIP KEY thread, it's all in there. Sounds like your grandad has lost the remote key. You get one remote and one normal key from new.

As said all MK4 Ibiza's come with remote locking.
