I'm considering selling my TDi 150 FR (Revo remap) and was wondering what forum members thoughts would be about advertising it as remapped or putting it back to standard? Anyone had experience with this? Would people be put off buying a remapped Leon? Or attracted by it?

I'll keep this simple: One word answers only!
Q: If you personally were looking to buy a 9 year old diesel Leon, what would you prefer.
A: Standard or Remapped?

I bought one 2 weeks ago, which was advertised as remapped, this personally caught my attention, It drives really well, and it's saved me having to get it done. But I guess it's all down to personal preference of the buyer. I would leave it mapped, and then leave it up to the buyer to put it back to standard if needed.

some people though would see remap and run from it. I personally would be the same, thinking i had been barlttered around everywhere. I like to have a blank canvas so to speak :)

If the car looks standard inside and out sell it as a family car ( without map )
If it is visually externally or internally modiflied , sell as a young persons car with map and mods included

Worth noting that recent research has found that it takes an average of six weeks for a car to sell at its advertised price or close to it . That is because most buyers look for a while to get to know value in that particular model before buying .
Moral = dont drop your asking price for first 6 weeks . If it has not sold by then its overpriced .

A remapped car will appeal to fans of the car and will probably sell best through owners clubs/ specialist sites.

A standard car will appeal to the masses and will sell easier on the likes of autotrader.

Either way, if the map is staying, people need to know.

Thanks for your suggestions, fortunately they are aligned with my own thoughts. Will be a shame to see it go, but it's time to modernise! BMW i3 probably....
