LOL ...

You made me check again ... also the spring numbers...

Information sent to FK Automotive. They have advised they have sent the video / pictures to Vogtland and waiting for their response.

Ideally would love to swap the front dampers for adjustables to resolve the issue and pay the difference but cannot see them doing that...

If they will only refund on the whole kit I shall just keep it and buy front shocks... not ideal but the back end is perfect and the springs seem excellent.

Was just a thought, could have been packed wrong.
Still thinking on mine, think i'm ruling out these though after your scenario.

I'm still thinking of the Weitec GT set, watch this space.

Hope you get it all resolved to your satisfaction.

Calum

im having this exact same problem and im running cupra r dampers with h&r springs , fitment s fine but i bounce over bumps on the front , its as it the spring is soft and is fully compressed all the time :s , when i bought and fitted them the dampers seemed to work fine with good rebound.

i will check back to see what your verdict is mate cheers

It sounds as though your dampers have failed ... if they were fine when you fitted it all?

Were the dampers new like mine?

Anyone got pictures of standard springs compressed for comparison?

Agreed... I would be trying the Weitec GT had I known what know now ... but the dampers on the Weitec kit arent all that great either I am told ...

Fact is if spending approx. £100 per corner for a damper / spring unit then its not going to be the best.

But hell I was a guinea pig ... :)

I still think the springs are pretty good so they are worth buying alone and much cheaper than the usual Eibachs, etc ... but obviously the damping is lacking.

Rears feel fine as little weight for it to damp really ...

my dampers were 2nd hand and covered around 50k , i used them as they came free with the springs , might be worth me looking into a decent spring and damper set then
cheers

It would be worth checking the condition of the dampers then when they come off... I think kits are supposed to have shortened damper units with lowering springs as standard dampers are not within operational range when on lowering springs... although side by side with my old kit I couldnt tell any real difference ... might be half the problem...

I'm going to see if can swap the front dampers out before Saturday ... as off to a Dyno day then ...

Iv got the vagtland kit in my tdi, like you said they are good round corners but go over any speed bumps and the splitters crashing down onto the road! Not sure which ones i got, but to be honest iv been thinking about just replacing front shocks aswell, are yours gas or oil?

I think they are oil filled mate at least expect so for the money as gas units are at least £90 each new...

Does yours rebound like mine?

Notice your local... Any chance of meeting up for comparison?

Vogtland have admitted there is a fault with the front dampers... :)

Just waiting for them to tell me what they are going to do about it ...

Either way I am removing them tomorrow / Saturday (depending on time) and installing my originals for the time being ... at least that will help me assess the springs further.

Hassle ...

Anyone think these springs look too compressed?

Thats more like it,bet the drive is better too

Night and day mate... Front feels totally planted!

Tempted to go out and buy brand new Sachs dampers from ECP tomorrow!

Let's see what vogtland are going offer first as a solution... Either way for £250 I guess I was asking too much for decent springs and dampers...
