Have requested that Vogtland compensate me by sending higher quality shocks or returning the value of the shocks plus some money towards labour costs.

I've sent both videos showing the comparisons which are clear to see.

Will be interesting to see how they respond...

Nothing wrong with the kit mate except the front shocks... It's these I want swapped out either for better ones or refunding towards replacements.

The rear dampers are spot on and the springs feel excellent and have no complaints in that respect...

I just can't be arsed to remove the whole lot and start again for the sake of £200 or so...

Worse case I will buy new gas front replacements for £100.

Vogtland reckon the dampers are faulty and have offered to send out a new pair straight away ...

I'm not convinced in all honesty that it will resolve the issues and I will land up removing them again :(

Any thoughts?

Difficult one,at least i suppose you could sell them on,and you can fit the Bilsteins.

The fact they fit the Mk4 Golf should make them easier to sell.

Did you try just to get a part refund ?

Yep they wont have it ... they want at least the chance to try replacements first ...

Just going to be so angry if I fit them and same issue... its a sod of a job to replace the front struts... although guess could just do the passenger side for testing as that's an hours job at the most.

FK Automotive are being a proper PITA ... it doesn't help that they speak very poor English which doesn't make sense.

They won't confirm if the replacements that are being sent are better quality or simply swapping the units out or how long it will take.

So if they 'feel' and look the same against the units I have in my garage then I won't bother installing them and will just ebay them off cheaply to get some cash back. If they think I'm sending the old units back at my cost they can think again.

So to summarise:

Springs - excellent
Shocks - shite

For £240 ... not worth it.

Save your money and buy the springs seperately for £100 and then buy some Bilstein B4's to match them up with for around £270 all in or buy the Weitec GT kit.
