Aero kit and xenons

Hi all, my first post so go steady!!
A very quick one really, i own a 07 leon cupra with xenons and the aero kit rear bumper, side skirts and spoiler. Just the standard cupra front bumper though, can an aero kit be fitted as the stealer says because of the xenon headlight washer system the front aero bumper cannot be fitted !??!

Is this true, is the K1 technically an aero kit that you can add xenons to?

Love SCN and love the Cupra

You can get the Aero bumper with the ability to fit the headlight washers for sure so your stealer is wrong.

I am going to be true to form here though and recommend you go with the Cupra rear bumper rather than the Aero front bumper though .

By the way the K1 kit is basically an Aero kit with a centre exit rear exhaust. Hope that helps

Yes, you can get an aero front bumper with xenons/headlamp wash on a cupra. I have just looked on auto trader and seen some and you can clearly see the washers on the bumper.

my k1 has the areo kit and xenon factory stuff and the bumper came with the washers built in.

Nah was being serious. It is a good picture and one of the few I have seen that compares an Aero Kitted Cupra to a Non Aero Kitted Cupra in the same colour in the same photo.

The stealer says the kit is only available with the wash system from factory? not retro fit and the wash system cannot be removed as xenons need a wash system by law.
I must admit i do prefer the front bumper of the aero kit rarther than standard curpa in my car colour! (infini black) but at the moment its half 'n' half !
If the aero isnt retrofittable i wonder if the Linea R is as it looks VERY similar

They are talking rubbish mate. You can see it above with your own eyes. Ask another stealer perhaps or maybe get a chassis number from the likes of H8's car above to ask for a new front bumper

Its all the same kit! same bumpers, same skirts, same spoiler

hey guys turns out they were right, the aero bumper cannot be retro fitted to a car with xenons due to the washer system, apparently the washer mechanism cannot fit behind the bumper!!!!!!!

Just thought you should know!!

the K1 comes with the exact same bumper with the xenons, so it is possible.

Thats what it told 3 dealers!!!!
Fitted from new not a problem, apparently parts are modified in factory, retro fit not possible. All the K1/aeros about with xenons are from factory, not dealer fit, so im told.

3 dealers have told me the same thing........not possible ahhhhhhh

Someone will hopefully confirm this but i'm pretty certain the cars are not built in the factory with the aero kit... they come in as cupras and are retro fitted before being sent to the dealers.




i would presume the only thing thats needed which might not be on all of the aero kit bumpers is some sort of mount for the washer system..

if so then they prob have a part which bolts onto the aero bumper as i can not see seat producing a line of aero kit front bumpers just for cars which have xenons.

The problem has probably been sorted now, but i can confirm that a aero front bumper can be fitted afterwards, Mine is a 57 plate cupra with xenons that i bought used and i had the aero kit retro-fitted for me by the stealer, no problem.

i htought i would drag this thread back up instead of making my own! i have just bought a k1 front bumper off ebay in candy white, seemed a very good price so i snapped it up! but it hasnt got the xenon washers on it?!?!

im really worried after reading this??!!? anyone know if u can saw the circle out?!?!

iv just had it dun
cut out the space ware the washers go and use the washer caps from your original bumper
