Aftermarket exhaust for 1.4 petrol Ibiza

I've just bought an Ibiza 1.4 (petrol) DAB SE, and I'm trying to find an aftermarket exhaust for it (either just a backbox, or a cat back system). Before anyone says it, I'm not interested in Peco, I know they do one, but they are pants. :censored:

Any help would be much appreciated.

What effect does this have on the car if you put on a Cupra exhaust? Does it lose back pressure or any negative effects? Is it a straight swap?
 
Also interested.. Have any1 done this??

What about the sound!!?:) Id love to get some more of that low-grrr but not that much thatll blow your ears off at highway speeds..
 
My point exactly. I don't want to lose any performance, I know not to expect any increase in performance, being that it's only a 1.4 (100bhp model), but I want it to look good and sound nice.
 
a backbox wouldnt give you an increase at all unless the stock one was aweful for airflow. If the cupra one fits, I'd use it, it will probably be louder than a cupra though.
 
m8 iv got a 1.4 DAB aswell....and apparently the 1.9 tdi fr exhaust fits perfectly on the dab...and its a twin silver exhaust...but not sure how it sounds....
 
Thanks for your advice, I'll have a look at the 1.9 tdi exhausts. I emailed Milltek, and they have no plans to do anything for the 1.4. :(

Only other option seems to be Powerflow, but I just wondered if anything was actually made specially for the 1.4.
 
hi guys well im pretty chuffed with the way my exhaust sounds at the moment! its much better than standard doesnt sound to loud at all just a nice little deep rumble and o i forgot THANKS RASH :D
 
guys i had a 1.4 75ps and i put on a Fr exhaust beleave me when i say it sounds nice and no probs at all you just need an adapter for the bore size works perfectly and so would the cupra with no bad affects unless u dont like it quite loud on the motorway! and on the 100ps it might be louder still...
 
A universal box from someone like Magnex should be ok, as should'mt lose back pressure too much, then just get it fitted on.

Failing that see a reputable exhaust fabricator ( NOT POWERFLOW) As you are in kent there is one close to you in Billericay Essex, my brother and a mate both got theres done there, lovely job and sounds just right, not too loud not too quiet.
 
depending on which powerflow place you goto if its a good one then id be happy to take mine there if its a bad one stay well away do a little research on the place before lettin them touch your car!
