Never used the 3G bit so don't know how it works unless it's somet to do with using your phones Bluetooth to access ya 3G net access, don't reckon it'll be upto much though because of the o.s the unit uses!

As for the nav issue then I might have found a possible solution, not an ideal solution as you still cannot update it properly via the pukka site but this might just be the igo navs saving grace (only time will tell though as to how upto date it's kept!!)

After reading all these I'm tempted to get this now! I assume you can update the igo using a 3rd party website?

I don't really get the advantage of buying this over an after market unit like a Pioneer, Alpine or something? Not trolling as I want to change the HU in my Cupra, but other than nav, surely a standard aftermarket from one of the big names is a better choice?

That is the point for me, the Nav system. I dont like how untidy my car looks when using my tomtom. Also it eliminates the dreaded sucker circles on the window.

The nav, dvd, sd card and other options sold it for me, if you can get an alpine unit with all that for 300 quid then yes go for it

Hi mate,

Does your car already have a double din size head unit like mine did!??, if so then all you'll need to do is use the existing R clips that are already in place in the dash and use the 4 screws that hold the stock head unit in too. - that's all I did and tbh I don't really recall whether or not the unit did come with the clips n screws you'd need ( don't think it does!)

I ordered a new facia to fit the unit too thinking if need that, but I didn't so that will get whacked on eBay at some point no doubt!!

Not sure if you can get the clips and screws from Dave tbh, might have to be Halfords or similar!

Hope this helps!

There are two cables for the radio that would attach to the standard unit, the unit you have now only uses 1, I'd imagine you've plugged the wrong one in :D

I did the same on mine first time, try the other cable (its identical so may be worth marking it up for future reference)
