I went down to a local breakers today to find a rear light to play with! Suprisingly they were breaking a 1.2 03 plate! It had been screwed at the front and rear, looked like it went into a meat grinder....anyway i got the corner rear light for free as it was cracked.:D

Firstly i tried prising it appart around the edges after warming it with a hair dryer. This worked, until part of the edge snapped off  Plan B, Put the light in the oven for a bit and tried prising it again.... no luck:(
In the end i gave up and threw it away!!

So now my question is.... if i buy a set of lights for a left hand drive, can i modify my wiring so that the reverse and fog light, light up as they should?

same questions, I want the ones shown above, they are £93 before postage which is cheaper than getting lights from the dealers! I was using a German translater to buy them from a German site but then realised I have bought enough stuff lately and must stop! I didn't get as far as to see if they can be shipped to the uk and also I'm still not sure if you legally need a reverse light and rear fog?

I think its looks better if you can get rid of the reverse light.....some people do this by buying cupra lights and getting a left hand drive replacement for the reverse light. Its red all round then and symmetrical  Would look great if you can do it with these ones!

you need the fog light but you do not legally need a reverse! It's only....i can't remember the word. It's only a courtesy thing. You dont have to. Its just nice to others if you do. ;)

Got it in one! :)

Wish SEAT had two reverse bulbs and fitted the fogs into the lower reflectors (Similar to the facelift Cosa C) - looks better with two reverse bulbs I think.

I agree. Slated cars before with having one reverse and one fog. Then i went and bought one! I'd be better if they used one of the two tail lights on each side to use as reverse and fogs.

Yeah the inner tail-light bulbs don't do anything so they could have been fogs!

thought I'd bring this thread back, does anyones knw how complicated it would be to sort the wiring out so reverse and fog would work properly? How is it connected that when you put it in reverse the light comes on and the same with the fog?

il like those rear lights on the ibiza. cause they look like the standard 1's, they dont look chavy!
