Hi all,

I have a 2018 Seat Ibiza tsi 95 without the Beats Audio. The current sound system sounds really good but i am looking for something slightly better. Has anyone tried to upgrade the speaker ?
Has anyone got any recommendation or tip/advise ?

Thank you in advance,

Serk

I'd also be interested, I find the sound system OK but could benefit from an upgrade if possible.

Yeah I've already been asking questions on this on another thread. There's so little information around on the audio - I can't even find out what the speaker size is! My problem is, I'll be leasing mine, so I don't want them to know I've done anything to it.

What do other people think of the standard 6 speaker sound system? Do they sound tinny or do they have plenty of depth?

My FR has the standard set up and I think it sounds really well balanced. I have had quite a few cars over the years and this is, by far, the best sounding standard system I have had. Its not heavy boomy bass, but I don't like that. It sounds tonaly very good to me.

Beats system has a small subwoofer (about 6" I'd guess?) and it really helps making the sound richer. I would 100% buy one otherwise. Not sure how easy it is to connect - but very often car electronics stores would do it cheaply or for free.

Had my FR Sport 115 for a week now. Pleased with the car but the audio is garbage!! Clear enough sound, but no power or real kick to it. A bit of a thud from the bass but starts to distort towards the top end. Nowhere near powerful enough. You can have a normal conversation at full volume!! Rubbish!!!

I also got my brand new FR 1.5 EVO last week, with the 8inch screen and without Beats option. Just the 6 normal speakers. The sound is clear but no power or depth at all.

After speaking with many In Car Entertainment shops in my country the cost for something good is around 1.000 euros (depending from the speakers you will use). You will need an amplifier with signal processor for the OEM screen to work, a good pair of speakers for the front doors, a sub woofer, isolation mats for the doors, cables etc.

Not sure- not all Ibizas get a spare tyre here in the UK anyway, it's an option. One that I paid for, I don't like the current trend for not including one.

For what it's worth, the Polo with the Beats audio system doesn't get a spare tyre, while the others do.
