alright there! changed my cam belt on my 2.0i 8v the other day and to cut a long story short lost the timing!! :( have got it running but isnt right as is choppy as oat!! and aint 100% sure which mark to put the cam to?

as there are 3 different marks it could be! 1st is just off centre to the left and is a arrow pointing down! the 2nd is a mark right at the top dead centre! the 3rd is just a lump of metal sticking out the side of the at the top to the right corner!.

any help would be great.

There are three.

Cam is easy enough, shows as OlT.

Crank, to be sure there is also a mark on the gearbox, when you remove the green bung there is a notch which is better to use than the crank pulley.

The next is the oil pulley, when the crank is in the correct position, you will see a small triangular notch cut out of it, on the oil pulley there is either a small round notch or line, cant remember which, this needs to line up with the triangular notch on the crank pulley.

if that isnt clear you can get a diagram of autodata for about six pounds.
