Air bag question??????

Got a baby on the way and i was wondering is there anyway of disconnecting the front airbag as obviously i cannot put baby in front seat whilst airbag is set in the on position ,please can somebody help me with this or does any one know whether the dealer can install a switch?

you can enable / disable it using vag-com or diagnostics program

Yeah, the owners manual state SEAT can deactivate it, if required.

(probably at cost tho)

Hi,
The Passanger airbag can be disabled.
It will need to be done at your dealer, as they will need to carry out some adaptions to the air bag e.c.u. It may also need a special resistor plug kit to be fitted onto the loom that goes to the airbag, this all comes in a kit which includes a disclaimer form which they will get you to sign, you keep a copy, the dealer keeps a copy and one is sent off to SEAT uk.
