Air Con

Just got my car back from a "service" and the air con is no longer workiong.


I've checked the fuses just in case it was something quick, anyone else got any ideas before I phone them up and find out wtf they have done?

silly question but the fan is on isn't it?

There isnt alot done on a service that can affect the aircon. Unless they tried to regas it at the same time, or fit a new belt

Yep, the fan is on. The light is also on when the button is in.. but I no longer get the metalic click sound when the aircon is engaged.

Strangely enough, with the ignition off and the keys on, there is a faint glow on the aircon button,,, some sort of short happening?

They did change the coolant temp sensor, is that linked?

if i have the AC button pressed on mine with ignition i get the faint glow as well.

Id take it back to them as well if i were you.

when you say you checked the fuses did you check the ones at the battery or just under the dash?

check ur two fuse's under the bonnet just behind the battery if ok sounds like mine which woz the resistor pack in teh heater fan behind the glove box

Any joy with this one?
Im not sure my aircon is working either, theres a few places near me that do free aircon check ups, I may well pop in and see what the problem is before getting some parts on order.
