Airbag query

Hi all, quick question,

Is there a way i can disable the front passenger airbag on my leon 20v turbo.
Its a 2001. Im wanting it disabled so i can put my son's child seat in the front as im often driving alone with him in the back and i want to be able to see what he is doing as he is only 4 months, Im told i can only put the baby seat on the front seat if the airbag is disabled.
Can it be done via vagcom or is it as easy as just pulling a fuse?

I take it you have checked the back of the glove box to see if there is a switch in there that turns off the airbag - i know my 2004 LCR had one.

Ive had a look but couldnt see anything, unless its behind the cd changer?

If its not directly there as you open the glovebox it isnt a manual one.

Maybe changeable with VAGcom ... anybody ?

No, its on the right hand side, if you havent noticed it yet, then you havent got one.

My 2002 LC doesn't have one either, seem a bit hit and miss as I've seen others with them.

My 2001 doesn't.

You can turn it off with VAG-COM
