Alana Head Unit Code Help

Hello

Just bought another Mk4 Ibiza but the car came with the head unit removed as it had something else fitted before. I have been given what is supposed to be the security code but the head unit doesnot respond to the instructions in the manual so I can'r enter the code.

The unit just says safe whenever switched on and never flashes 1000 nor does it respond to holding the program key?

Who can tell me please how I go about entering the security code?

A quick search would have found what you want. Or even a look in the manual.

You have to have the head unit on for 1 hour before you can enter the code.

I had to leave the key in on mine and press any button every 20 mins or it would turn off.

have it in for an hour, I didnt need to just needed te remember to press scan instead of prog

Having it on for an an hour doesn't seem to chage anything and it doesn't respong to what's in the manual Rich.

Scan worked for you then instead of prog? I have been told by some people that its a conbination of keys?

Oh yes, i forgot about that. after you enter the codes you need to press SCAN, thats what i did anyway

press scan for about 2 seconds did mine so many time i knew code off top of my head

The problem is mine won't give anything other than SAFE to let me put the code in?
