I noticed today, after closing the car, the alarm LED stays on for about 30 seconds then only flashes. Earlier, after closing immediately flash. What's the problem?

Had this happen on a mk5 Golf some years ago. Seem to remember that it was caused by a faulty central locking control module which, in my case, caused one of the rear doors to be permanently locked and couldn't be undone from the inside or outside.

Had this on mine, (the mirrors were also not folding with the fob, and the one press window operation was also off) reset the windows and it was all ok again. Sure handbook says it is warning of security system fault.

I've had this happen to me on a few occasions as described by Seastormer.

As has already been said, reset the windows (fully opening and then holding the button all the way to the windows are closed and then for a couple of additional seconds) and everything should revert to normal.

As Seastormer has said, the manual is useless and suggests a fault with the security system.
